The 96C is an excellent beginners mouthpiece and a great choice for players wanting a small shallow mouthpiece for lead trombone. It provides great support in the upper register and loads of projection.
The updated G3 design is similar to the Gen 2 line, but the top and bottom rim of the G3 each have a slightly different shape. The bite on the rim is also slightly softer. Most players prefer the wider rim at the top and the orientation dot at the bottom, but the mouthpiece can be pllayed in either orientation.
