The 98C G3 falls into a category of sizes that is a bit complicated to sort out due to inconsistencies in Bach rim sizes. It is the best choice for a player using a Bach 7C. It is also similar to a Bach 11C, with a slightly smaller ID.

The updated G3 design is similar to the Gen 2 line, but the top and bottom rim of the G3 each have a slightly different shape. Most players prefer the wider rim at the top and the orientation dot at the bottom, but the mouthpiece can be pllayed in either orientation.
