The 114XD is our largest, deepest bass trombone mouthpiece. It is the best choice for a player using the Bach 1G, Schilke 60, or similar mouthpiece, and who does not have significant problems with range and endurance.
The updated G3 design is similar to the Gen 2 line, but the top and bottom rim of the G3 each have a slightly different shape. The bite on the rim is also slightly softer. Most players prefer the wider rim at the top and the orientation dot at the bottom, but the mouthpiece can be pllayed in either orientation.

- Note - Some bass trombones, for example some vintage King models, have an extra deep receiver. If your mouthpiece inserts more than 1.25 inches (31 mm) into your leadpipe be sure to select the BT Deep Receiver option when ordering bass trombone mouthpieces.
