Sound Booster for Regular Weight Trumpet Mouthpiece5 star reviewTitle: Sound BoosterDefinitely makes a difference when using the hybrid tops. I ultimately preferred using silver plated brass with how it felt on the chops without the booster, but I would recommend using this booster if using a hybrid top! - Nathan L. Sound Booster for Regular Weight Trumpet Mouthpiece 5 star reviewTitle: Great for those that need or want to bolster their sound I've tried sounds boosters before and I never liked them, so I have to say that this one is the most discreet and effective in making the sound more dense without overdoing it. The boosters with rubber against metal are useless, they just deaden the sound as they kill the upper harmonics that are so characteristic of the trumpet's tone quality. Unfortunately a lot of oversized metal on metal boosters do the same thing. The Wedge sound booster is not too heavy and it couples with the mouthpiece perfectly, giving more density to the sound without deadening it. A great product!! - Mike A. Sound Booster for Small and Medium Shank Trombone Mouthpiece 5 star reviewTitle: Super worth the money I tried one of these on a whim and it accidentally ended up being exactly what I was looking for to balance out my setup. I play on an old King 3B with an F attachment and a carbon fiber outer slide made by Butler down in Texas. I've been mostly super happy with it for the past 5 or 6 years, but I have noticed keeping up with a section in terms of projection is sometimes harder with the carbon fiber outer slide. I realized that if you take metal away, it might make sense to put some back somewhere else. This totally did the trick! It was like night and day. Feels like the same projection I get with a standard outer slide. Highly recommend it! - Ethan C.

Title: Sound booster
I started on a delrin 6.5 AL Jazz as my introduction to Wedge, and I love the comfort of the delrin rim. Adding the tone booster has given me a bigger, more secure sound, better slotting & security, and evenness of sound in all registers. I actually like the way I sound now! -David C.

Fabulous addition for jazzy swing numbers for sure. -Nick G Tone Modifier for Small and Medium Shank Trombone Mouthpiece 5 star reviewTitle: Tone ModifierI started using a Wedge 11c (from eBay) without a tone modifier. The 11c introduced me to the Wedge concept. It worked so well on my small bore horn that I bought Delrin Wedges for my bass trombone and Conn 88hcl. I liked the sound of the 11c without the Tone Modifier but was afraid it might be a blending problem with the trombone section in the jazz band. When I got the tone modifier a few weeks ago, I began using it all the time. Non trombone players can’t seem to hear any difference, but I hear a pretty radical difference. The tone is more compact. It might also be that the mouthpiece slots better. I recently bought a Delrin 100al for my Conn. I asked the Horn player in my brass quintet about the sound with and without the Tone Modifier. He felt the sound with the Tone Modifier was much better than the sound without. He’s a good player and I trust his judgement. The bottom line is that I’m using a tone modifier on all three Wedge mouthpieces -Silas Y Tone Modifier for Large/Remington Shank Trombone and Euphonium Mouthpiece 5 star review Title: Tone modifier for 114D mouthpiece I was happy with the silver-plated 114D Wedge bass trombone mouthpiece I had purchased previously, but was curious to see whether the tone modifier might provide even further improvement. Because of Wedge's risk-free trial policy, I purchased the tone modifier. To my pleasant surprise, the difference was really quite noticeable, and very positive. My experience with mouthpieces in general is that a heavier shank facilitates the type of sound I want, and the tone modifier provides exactly that effect. It is extremely easy to apply and remove, using the small key that Wedge provides with it. I would definitely recommend giving the tone modifier a try. -Marty F

Title: 101G Hybrid with Sound Booster used with a Euphonium
The Zoom consultation with Dr. Dave was helpful and led me a more appropriate selection for me. I had three goals. I hoped for one to two more notes on the high end and a little better stamina without compromising the dark tone desirable on euphonium. I did not experience increased range. I do have a little better stamina. The tone actually darkened slightly, so two of my three goals are being met. I also like the feel of the hybred rim. I would recommend it to others. - H.C. R.

Title: Silvered Sound Booster
Pursuant to Dr. Dave's recommendation, I bought the silvered Sound Booster to go on a one-piece trumpet 66MDV. The Sound Booster does add richness to the tone, not a lot, but it is noticeable. I describe it as giving a "fuller" tone to the overall sound. Would I buy it again? Well yes indeed! I just bought another one to go with the new hybrid 65S mouthpiece I ordered also. Go Wedge! -John T.
