The G3 series refines the Wedge design to give brass players even more control over their setup.
Asymmetrical Dual Orientation: The top and bottom rims feature slightly different shapes, giving you two distinct rim profiles in a single mouthpiece.
Next-Gen G3 Geometry: Designed with a slightly narrower rim and a more pronounced vertical oval than the G2 models for increased efficiency and response.
Customizable Playing Feel: Highly adaptable to your unique embouchure. While playable in either direction, most players prefer positioning the wider rim at the top and the orientation dot facing down.
- Characteristics - The Pierobon C is the signature mouthpiece of Marco Pierobon of the Gomalan Brass. It is a Standard Brand version of a Reeves 43.5CX with a wide Gabriel style rim. The rim has an ID of .662 and an OD of 1.12. The lateral dip is 15/1000". This is the same rim found on the Pierobon Lead and Pierobon Flugel. The throat can be #27 or #25. The backbore is ML.
- Acclimatization - Acclimatization time varies, but most players find they have fully adjusted to the new rim shape within a few days. Most players are able to alternate between a Wedge rim and conventional rim, although the vast majority of players will convert all of their mouthpieces to the Wedge design because of its obvious advantages once they have adapted. We do offer discounts to players who need to purchase a number of Wedge mouthpieces for various instruments.
