Top 10 Mouthpiece! Similar to Schilke 14A4A, Bach 3D, Monette B4L - Excellent choice for a lead mouthpiece to complement a Bach 1-1/2C, Bach 3C, or similar “legit” mouthpiece
The top and bottom rims of the G3 mouthpieces each have a slightly different shape. Most players get better performance placing the wider rim at the top and the orientation dot at the bottom, but the mouthpiece can be played in either orientation.
Highlights:
- S cup similar to a Schilke 14A4A cup
- Excellent projection, slightly less support in upper register than the ES cup
- Less prone to bottoming out than the ES cup
- Excellent for lead when a solid mid to low register is also desired
- Works well for piccolo trumpet when a brighter sound with more projection is desired
- Surprisingly good low register for an extra shallow lead mouthpiece

- The Wedge rim produces a much better lower register than comparable mouthpieces of this cup depth - low range sounds more like a Bach 3C then it does like a lead mouthpiece
- Also a mouthpiece for Piccolo trumpet if one prefers a shallow cup
- Backbore: Comes on a S (Small) backbore
