101G New York Model
The 101G is similar in size and playing characteristics to a Bach 5G or Schilke 51. It is our most popular symphonic trombone mouthpiece. The 101G has an ID of 1.01 inches, a .280 throat. The NY blank has a slightly different outside contour than our regular Wedge. More of the mouthpiece mass is lower, toward the bottom of the cup. Some players feel that this increases slotting, but the difference is very subtle. The NY Model is only available with a large shank.
