Product Overview
The G3 series refines the Wedge design to give brass players even more control over their setup.
Asymmetrical Dual Orientation: The top and bottom rims feature slightly different shapes, giving you two distinct rim profiles in a single mouthpiece.
Next-Gen G3 Geometry: Designed with a slightly narrower rim and a more pronounced vertical oval than the G2 models for increased efficiency and response.
Customizable Playing Feel: Highly adaptable to your unique embouchure. While playable in either direction, most players prefer positioning the wider rim at the top and the orientation dot facing down.
The 28G tuba mouthpiece is similar in size and depth to the Bach 18 and Yamaha 67C4 tuba mouthpieces. It has a Gen 2 Wedge rim with an ID of 1.28 inches and an oval, Geib shaped medium deep cup, and a .325 inch throat.
The cup shape is a modified funnel, which is slightly more bowl shaped than a Helleberg style cup. The Geib cup sounds is less dark than a Helleberg cup, with a bit more projection.
The Gen 2 mouthpieces have a second generation Wedge design that incorporates elements from our highly successful Gen 2 high brass rim. They have an accentuated oval rim shape that extends right down to the base of the cup. This unique oval cup shape amplifies the effect of the Wedge rim, providing greater responsiveness and more core to the sound compared to a conventional round cup of similar depth and volume.
