The Drozdoff Classic (labeled Drozdoff C) has a size 3 rim from top to bottom and a size 7 rim from side to side. The difference in diameter is continued from the rim right to the base of the cup. This DOC (double oval cup) design provides a great lower register and slotting with excellent efficiency and upper register performance. It is the same depth as Wedge 3CCm. It is deeper than a Bach 3C, Monette B4, or Schilke 14C4. This mouthpiece has our new Double Oval Cup (DOC). The diameter of the rim and cup in the vertical dimension is 10/1000 of an inch larger than it is from side to side. This means that the oval shape of the Wedge rim is continued down to the base of the cup where it joins the throat. The DOC design, found only in Wedge mouthpieces, provides the added efficiency of a smaller mouthpiece with the big sound, clear attacks, and flexibility of the larger mouthpiece.
Acryl:
- Fühlt sich weicher an als Messing, aber weniger weich und Delrin auf den Koteletts.
- Weniger rutschig als Metall, aber rutschiger als Delrin.
- Der Griff liegt zwischen Delrin und Silber.
- Fühlen sich etwas kleiner an als die Gegenstücke aus Metall.
- Glatter als Delrin, sehr ähnlich zu Silber.
- Bequem zu spielen bei kaltem Wetter.
- Reagiert auf sanfte Artikulation.
- Die Artikulation ist deutlicher als bei Delrin, sehr ähnlich wie bei Metall.
- Der Klang ist etwas dunkler als bei Messing und heller als bei Delrin.
- Mehr Kern im Klang als Delrin, aber nicht so viel Kern wie Metall.
- Acryl ist ein spröder Kunststoff und kann beim Fallenlassen zerbrechen.
