- Characteristics - The 97C is similar in size to a Bach 11C. It is an excellent choice for concert band, jazz ensemble, and commercial lead. ID = .970 inches (24.638 mm), measured at .05 inches into the cup. Throat = .250 inches (6.35 mm) for strong players wanting less resistance.
