CarolBrass CTR-5000L-YST-Bb-SLB (Satin Lacquer Bell)
This is my favorite Bb trumpet offered by CarolBrass. The 5000L-YST is a remarkably responsive and versatile horn. It can be used in virtually any setting. The yellow brass standard thin bell has a Bach 37 style bell flare. This horn has a slightly darker, more focused sound than the YLT model with the Bach 72 style bell. Adding heavy valve caps and the right mouthpiece makes it very suitable for "legit" playing, while with a shallower mouthpiece it is an outstanding lead trumpet with excellent slotting above the staff, and especially above high C.
