The 775D has a deep cup similar to a Laskey F or Moosewood A, but incorporates the unique shape of the Wedge DOC cup and the patented Wedge rim.
This mouthpiece is made using our heavy weight blank.
The heavyweight French horn blank has a thicker wall and increased mass compared to our regular blank. The extra mass darkens brighter overtones and produces a darker sound. It also provides for more secure slotting, fewer cracked notes and improved sound stability at high volumes. It does tend to be slightly less responsive to soft articulation and slightly less resonant compared to the regular blank.

The DOC (Double Oval Cup) design carries the oval shape of the Wedge rim into the bottom of the cup, producing more core in the sound with great stability and clean attacks.
